Ron SchmidtRonSchmidt
On November 3rd 2007, less than a year after a logging accident left him without a thumb, index finger, and a partial middle finger on his shooting hand, Ron Schmidt arrowed a 10 point buck. The accident was so severe that doctors told him that he may never walk again, much less pull back a bow or hunt. "I put scent out; the buck came in and turned broadside for a 17 yard double-lung shot from my #45 Martin Bengal." Ron's feat may simply be a mark of his determination to live his dreams. Additionally, Ron defied medical experts by competing in the West Central Field Archery League which extended his WCFAL's participation to 40 consecutive years.
